About Lulu Films
Finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, Lulu Films’ mission is to tell stories about the people who through their actions and their work are powering positive, impactful change not only in their own lives, but also in the lives of others. Lulu Films is currently in production on its first project, a short documentary, Lowriders in the Heartland.
PRODUCER LUCY STYLIANOU
Founder and Producer Lucy Stylianou worked in broadcast television in the UK for almost forty years, both in independent production and as a Commercial Affairs Executive at the network Channel 4.
She moved permanently to the USA in 2023. Her first documentary short film produced in the US is Life in Check, which follows a small group of incarcerated individuals who have, through learning and playing the game of chess, turned their lives around as they prepare to leave prison for the final time and re-enter the world to live productive and successful lives.
Other recent credits include the fourth season of the popular arts series Extraordinary Portraits on BBC1, the BBC Storyville feature documentary White Man Walking, and Unapologetic a late-night chat show, comprising a pilot and two seasons for Channel 4.
